Letters To And From Pastor Chun

In the wake of the murder of Kim Jung Nam, and as the dictatorship of Kim Jung Eun becomes more severe, I was able to safely guide a 27 year old male to an East Asian Embassy (on Saturday, Feb, 11th),  after he escaped from Pyong Yang. According to his testimony, he escaped from Pyong Yang to China on Jan 9, 2017. He said that his friend accused him of possessing a computer with about 700 South Korean Dramas. However, he said that he was fortunate because he had hidden the dramas and files. He secured them with passwords. It prevented him from getting arrested on site.

According to him, Pyong Yang is now changing unimaginably. Nowadays, it is much easier to get Korean Dramas. He is more familiar with the Korean trends than us. The karaoke culture is corrupted, he said that they can live as a capitalist society if they have money. It seems to be the premonition of the end of Kim Jung Eun’s dictatorship.

To the Pastor of Durihana,

You have my utmost respect. Thanks for thinking of me. I sincerely thank you for rescuing me. Currently I’m staying in a room at the border of China, (OOO OOO) near the main market. I will be staying there until OOth of this month.

There is a Chinese wanderer (a person who I lived together with when I was sold into human trafficking). He is working as a cleaner, and he is looking for me. Though I don’t have anything to do with him, he is still looking for me.

Pastor, please rescue me and send me to S. Korea. I have been suffering greatly. Up to this point, I didn’t know of any ways to get to S. Korea. Fortunately, after learning about the internet, I learned about the church of Durihana. I want you to know how desperately my heart desires to get to S. Korea. From now on, I will live honestly as you lead me. Please have mercy on me.

___________ Kim

As always, I’m receiving continuous letters and emails from people who are seeking rescue. I desperately pray for the people of N. Korea and China, for their suffering to come to an end.  Listed below are emails from people who have asked me for help. Please pray and help support their desires for lives of freedom.

Pastor Chun Ki-won

Durihana

Hi to the Pastor of Durihana,

I am a female North Korean defector. I was sold into human trafficking 16 years ago. I now have to live in Kil Lim (countryside), China, where the language, culture, and food are all different. I have to live with a Chinese family that is emotionless. I escaped from North Korea because I was poor and I was starving.

In my hometown, both of my parents passed away. My brothers escaped, and I haven’t seen them since then. I do not know if they are still alive.

It’s been a year that I have lived on the border of China. I don’t have a passport or an ID card. I do not have any relatives to contact for help. Although I was born in 1969, I don’t want to continue my life in insecurity and hopelessness. I’m now asking Durihana for help in rescuing me. I pray for your kindness, Pastor Chun. Please have compassion on me. I apologize, but I will leave my contact information at a later date.

To the Pastor whom I sincerely respect,

Kim 0 0.

Hi pastor,

I came from North Korea with a businessman. I was sold to a family 4 years ago. I now have a 16 month old baby.

In North Korea, I lost my mother when I was 3. I lost my father when I was 20. I was sold in China and now have a husband from the family I was sold to. Due to my husband’s minimal income, we have been living in poverty for the last 4 years. I never knew that my husband had a loan until now. I have my baby, and my mother-in-law has dementia. I don’t believe that our financial situation can get any worse than it is right now.

There is no hope here.  Due to insecurity and poverty, I want to go to S. Korea but don’t have any money to do so. We do not have anyone to turn to for financial help, because last year, my husband had a motorcycle accident and had to borrow money from his relatives. I’m really sorry.

First I want to go to Korea and find a stable job, then I would like to have my baby join me. Please help me get to S. Korea.

My hometown is __________. I’m 24 years old. The only reason I came to China from Chosun, (N. Korea) is because the life there was difficult. In order to get my life back, I am planning to go to S. Korea. I desire to work hard in S. Korea and have my life back.
